Terms of Use

By accessing or using Coinbench (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.

1. Who we are

Coinbench is an information and comparison website operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME]. We are not a cryptocurrency exchange, broker, dealer, custodian or financial adviser. We do not hold or handle your funds, open accounts on your behalf, or execute trades. We publish general information and tools and may link to third-party services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site. You are responsible for ensuring that trading or holding crypto assets, and using any exchange we mention, is lawful where you live.

3. Information only — no advice

All content is general information and does not take your personal circumstances into account. It is not financial, investment, legal or tax advice. See the Financial Disclaimer and Risk Warning.

4. Affiliate relationships

We earn commissions from some of the providers we link to. This never changes our editorial content. See the Affiliate Disclosure.

5. Accuracy & third-party content

We work to keep information current, but fees, features, coin listings and the regulatory status of exchanges change frequently and may be out of date or contain errors. Always verify details directly with the relevant provider. Your use of any third-party service (including MEXC) is governed by that provider’s own terms, not ours.

6. Intellectual property

The Coinbench name, logo, content and design are owned by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] or its licensors. You may view and share the content for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, scrape or commercially exploit it without permission.

7. Acceptable use

  • Don’t use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these Terms.
  • Don’t attempt to interfere with, scrape, or gain unauthorised access to the Site.
  • Don’t misrepresent the Site’s content or remove disclosures.

8. Third-party links

The Site contains links to third-party websites, including affiliate links. We don’t control and aren’t responsible for their content, products, security or practices. Following a link is at your own risk.

9. No warranties

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about its accuracy, completeness, reliability or fitness for a particular purpose.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] is not liable for any loss or damage (including trading losses) arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Site or any linked service. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Australian Consumer Law, or other rights that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] against claims arising from your misuse of the Site or breach of these Terms.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and the “Last updated” date will change.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [New Zealand / Queensland, Australia — confirm with your lawyer], and the courts there have non-exclusive jurisdiction.

14. Contact

Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (and the Australian Privacy Principles).

Information we collect

  • Information you give us — e.g. your name and email if you contact us or subscribe.
  • Information collected automatically — device and browser type, IP address, pages visited and how you use the Site, via cookies and analytics tools.
  • Affiliate click data — when you click an affiliate link, the provider may record that the referral came from Coinbench.

Cookies

We use essential cookies (to run the Site), analytics cookies (to understand usage), and affiliate-tracking cookies (to attribute referrals). You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as well.

How we use your information

  • To operate, maintain and improve the Site and its tools;
  • To respond to your enquiries and, where you’ve opted in, send updates;
  • To measure traffic and the performance of our content and affiliate links;
  • To meet legal obligations and protect against misuse.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with service providers who help us run the Site — for example analytics providers (such as [Google Analytics]), our hosting provider, and affiliate partners/networks (such as MEXC) for referral attribution. Some of these providers may store or process data outside New Zealand and Australia.

Security & retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information, but no online service is completely secure. We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.

Your rights

You can ask us to access or correct the personal information we hold about you by emailing [privacy@coinbench.xx]. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (NZ) or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (AU) if you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information.

Children

The Site is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes & contact

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change. Contact our privacy contact at [privacy@coinbench.xx].

Affiliate Disclosure

Coinbench is reader-supported through affiliate commissions. Here’s exactly how that works.

Some links on this Site are affiliate links. If you click one and open an account or trade with that provider, Coinbench may receive a commission — at no additional cost to you. We currently have an affiliate arrangement with MEXC, and may add others over time.

What this does not mean:

  • It does not increase your fees or change the price you pay.
  • It does not buy a provider a better review, ranking or recommendation.
  • It does not change the information, figures or risks we show you.

We aim to mark affiliate links clearly where practical. Earning a commission never overrides our commitment to honest, accurate information. This disclosure is made in line with the Fair Trading Act 1986 (NZ) and the Australian Consumer Law.

In short: if Coinbench helps you and you sign up through our link, we may earn a commission — but our job is still to tell you the truth, including the downsides.

Financial Disclaimer — Not Financial Advice

Coinbench provides general information only. It is not financial advice.

[LEGAL ENTITY NAME] is not a licensed financial adviser, and does not provide a financial advice service under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 (NZ) or financial product advice under the Corporations Act 2001 (AU).

  • The content is general information and does not consider your objectives, financial situation or needs.
  • Nothing on the Site is a recommendation, solicitation or endorsement to buy, sell or hold any crypto asset, or to use any particular exchange.
  • We don’t guarantee that any information is accurate, complete or current — figures and features change constantly.
  • Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results, and we don’t guarantee any outcome.

Before making any financial decision, do your own research and consider obtaining advice from a licensed financial adviser. Crypto may also have tax consequences — consider getting independent tax advice for your situation.

Risk Warning

Trading and holding crypto assets is high-risk. You can lose money — possibly all of it.

  • Volatility: Crypto prices can rise and fall sharply and unpredictably. You may lose some or all of what you put in.
  • No guarantee or insurance: Crypto assets are not government-backed and are not covered by any deposit-protection or compensation scheme in New Zealand or Australia.
  • Offshore exchanges: Some exchanges we mention — including MEXC, which operates from the Seychelles — are not registered with New Zealand’s FMA or licensed by Australian regulators. You may have limited protection or recourse if something goes wrong.
  • Leverage & derivatives: Products such as futures and margin trading are very high-risk and can cause losses greater than your initial deposit. They are for experienced traders only.
  • Security risks: Exchanges and wallets can be hacked, and funds can be lost through scams, errors or lost access credentials.
  • Regulatory & tax uncertainty: Rules around crypto are evolving in both countries and may change in ways that affect you.
  • Liquidity: Smaller or newer tokens can be hard to sell at a fair price.
Only ever trade with money you can genuinely afford to lose, and never on the basis of a single source — including this one.
